1 Cor. 15:43

Have you ever thought to yourself, "___ years ago I never would've believed you if you told me this could happen"? I found myself replaying those same words in my mind over the past few months.
Since I updated my latest post, lots of big climaxes in my story has occurred. One incidence I will express in this post.

November 24th 2012; a beautiful, smart, kind, strong cowgirl, and a friend went home. Sabrina and I were never to developed in our friendship where we were inseparable or "BFFFFS!" we were casual friends seeing each other very rarely. But the times I remember are very fortunate memories. Wether we would be at the diner (I would usually scarfing down chicken strips) sharing the latest news in our small cow towns about girl drama or relatively everything and anything that came to mind, or being at the arena with beau and accepting some really good advice on barrels, (she had an amazing talent in rodeo) she always knew the right words to say and always made me laugh! Honestly, I have no clue why she was brought home. Why would God want her to leave her family, her boyfriend Colby, her best friends Paityn and Macy, or any of us who had the amazing privilege to even have a glimpse of her precious smile, or meet her. What I do know is that in 1 Corinthians 15:43 scripture says, "Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength." We are all broken, we are all sinners, we are not perfect, we are human! Often we forget, we put ourselves on this tiny imaginary pedestal. Never have to much pride in yourself! We are all shattered with sin, we are broken. Our hearts are broken, that is why we need a Savior to glue the pieces back together!
Often "normal" people will think that leaders are "perfect" and have no problems. So not true! We sin, mess up, lie, cheat, envy, and can always be doing more in our walk with Christ. Our outwardly appearance looks different, though, because our brokenness we once had (every leader has a past btw) is being pieced together as we become closer with our Father!
Still with me? Say, you drop a clear water glass (you). It shatters everywhere (your brokenness). Can the glass glue itself together? Nope! The owner of the glass (God) has to glue the pieces together, for this glass is a precious water glass in the eyes of the owner.

I really didn't mean to preach in the beginning, but, in conclusion: We are broken. We can't fix ourselves, only God's grace can, leaders seeming "perfect" outlook is not perfect at all. You have to begin fixing the glass to make it look pretty. God is fixing us.

Staying Strong!

Here is some obvious news; everyone struggles in life. What is real news though, is finding something inspirational during those struggles.

I feel either very lucky or very blessed because, often when darkness envelopes in my heart, there's words of strength that I just bump into. Sometimes, it's through scripture. Other times its a story tolled by someone who has been in that valley before. Nearly always there are bible verses that, even through their volume is a whisper, have carried an inspirational equivalent of floodlight.

In hardships, find that ray of inspiration and over power the darkness in your heart. Meditate on scripture and gain the advice or opinions of friends. Stay strong, it'll all be worth it!

(Romans 12:12.. Look it up? Very inspirational!)
